triples
competition
A big thank you to Thornaby Bowling Club for allowing use the use of their green and facilities for our Triples competition on June 27th.

Home advantage proved to be useful for one of the Thornaby teams - Brian Livingstone, Frank Cornforth & Brian Lewis - who progress through to the final on September 5th. They will face a team from Elm Tree - Gary Brown, Graeme Parkinson & Bill Watt. Bill must be well on form, as this will be the third final that he has qualified for.

Big thank you to all those who took part - we can't all win, but we can still enjoy playing. Good luck to you all next year.
singles
competition
The venue for this season's Singles competition was Ropner Park. We didn't have the best of the weather but it didn't seem to damper the spirits of those that attended. Big thank you to the Ropner Park Bowling Association for the use of their facilities.

Our two victors today both come form the same bowling club. Well done to Martin Smith and Mick Mooney. Both of them are members of Smith's dock who also provided both finalists in last year's singles competition.
fouRS
competition
It was the turn of Smith's Dock Bowling Club to host one of our competitions - this time it was the Fours competition. Thank you to all of their members for their hospitality - the bacon butties were more than welcome.

Winners of the two semi finals today and through to our Finals Day on Friday 5th September are teams from Smith's Dock (John McArthur, Jack Richie, Fred Kirby & Neil Lockwood) and Elm Tree (Gary Brown, Bill Watt, David Bligh & Ged Barron).

Once again teams have dropped out without any form of notice. Sorry, but it's just not on - a simple text message goes a long way.
PAIRS
competition
A really big thank you to Norton Bowling Club for hosting our Pairs Competition today. It was a great turnout - despite those that entered and not only didn't turn up - but also didn't bother to let us know this. You missed a great day.

Through to the finals on Friday 5th September are two teams from Elm Tree Bowling Club - Graham Richardson & Bill Watt and Alan Harrison & Brian Hart. Should be a cracking game.

A final thank you to all those that took part - we can't do it without you - it may well be your turn next year, so please keep entering our competitions.
